Bde Maka Ska, formerly known as Lake Calhoun, is one of the larger lakes in Minneapolis, covering 422 acres. It is popular for sailing, fishing, swimming, skating, biking, running, and jogging. The name was changed to its original Dakota name meaning 'White Earth Lake", in 2018.
